Those of you that are well versed in the science of computers will understand the reference to Dijkstra. I was wondering, if one could figure out what all C.E.O.’s did before they were C.E.O.’s and figured out what people in those jobs did before that… If one went all the way back, even to the school interests of such people, I wonder if one could navigate, inductively, to their dream job. I even wonder if it would help.
For example, if I knew that 90% of C.E.O.’s at technology companies were Ph.D. students in Electrical Engineering, would that help me become a C.E.O. of a technology company? Note that I might not have to follow the same path, just analyze it and figure out why that relationship exists. An interesting thought, anyway.
